## What it is

A medical consultation carried out entirely by telephone — voice only, no video — between an established patient and their physician or other qualified clinician. This is the shortest of the three time bands, covering roughly five to ten minutes of actual medical discussion. It is meant for calls that stand on their own as the care episode, not for a quick word that is really part of a recent or upcoming office visit.
