# CPT 98941

> Medicare paid $40.14 for CPT 98941 in the office (non-facility) setting and $34.26 in a facility under the Q3 2022 Physician Fee Schedule, effective July 2022. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2022, when it decreased 0.8%.

## What it is

Manual chiropractic adjustment of the spine covering three or four of the five recognised spinal regions: neck, upper back, mid back, lower back, and the pelvis and sacrum. It is the middle rung of a three-code family graded purely by how many regions the chiropractor treats, and it is much the most commonly reported of the three. The record has to show a problem in each region treated, not just one adjustment that happened to be felt in several places.
