# CPT 98941

> Medicare paid $41.27 for CPT 98941 in the office (non-facility) setting and $35.17 in a facility under the Q4 2017 Physician Fee Schedule, effective October 2017. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2017, when it increased 0.2%.

## What it is

Manual chiropractic adjustment of the spine covering three or four of the five recognised spinal regions: neck, upper back, mid back, lower back, and the pelvis and sacrum. It is the middle rung of a three-code family graded purely by how many regions the chiropractor treats, and it is much the most commonly reported of the three. The record has to show a problem in each region treated, not just one adjustment that happened to be felt in several places.
