# CPT 93923

> Medicare paid $135.04 for CPT 93923 in the office (non-facility) setting and $135.04 in a facility under the Q4 2021 Physician Fee Schedule, effective October 2021. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2020, when it decreased 0.9%.

## What it is

The fuller version of the cuff-and-waveform circulation test of the arms or legs. Pressures and waveforms are recorded at multiple levels down each limb - thigh, calf, ankle, and sometimes the toes - or the study adds exercise or other provocative maneuvers to unmask disease that looks mild at rest. Because a marked pressure drop between two neighboring cuff levels marks the segment where the artery is narrowed, this version localizes the disease instead of merely detecting it.
