# CPT 93922

> Medicare paid $87.23 for CPT 93922 in the office (non-facility) setting and $87.23 in a facility under the Q1 2021 Physician Fee Schedule, effective January 2021. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This is a 0.7% increase from the previous quarter.

## What it is

A non-invasive circulation test of the arms or legs that uses blood pressure cuffs plus Doppler sound or pulse volume recordings, rather than producing pictures of the vessels. Cuff pressures at the limb are compared with pressure at the arm to give indices such as the ankle-brachial index, and the shape of the waveform shows how much the flow has been blunted by disease upstream. The limited version samples only a small number of levels on each side, enough to establish whether significant blockage is present rather than to pin down where it is.
