    "description": "A catheter treatment for atrial fibrillation aimed at the pulmonary veins, the four openings at the back of the left upper chamber where the disorganized electrical signals usually originate. Catheters are advanced to the right atrium and then across the wall between the atria to reach the left side, the chamber's electrical activity is mapped, and a continuous ring of scar is created around the vein openings using heat, freezing, or pulsed electrical energy until signals from the veins can no longer get out into the atrium. The electrophysiology study that maps the conduction system is part of the same service.",
