# CPT 93351

> Medicare paid $239.27 for CPT 93351 in the office (non-facility) setting and $239.27 in a facility under the Q3 2020 Physician Fee Schedule, effective July 2020. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2020, when it increased 1.1%.

## What it is

A heart ultrasound recorded at rest and again once the heart has been driven hard, either by exercise or by a drug that raises its workload, to see whether any part of the main pumping chamber stops squeezing properly under demand. A wall that moves normally at rest but falters under stress points to a narrowed artery feeding it. This version bundles the whole thing under one physician: the ECG monitoring through the stress, supervision of the patient during it, and interpretation of both the ultrasound images and the stress tracings.
