# CPT 93229

> Medicare paid $715.66 for CPT 93229 in the office (non-facility) setting and $715.66 in a facility under the Q1 2020 Physician Fee Schedule, effective January 2020. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This is a 0.5% decrease from the previous quarter.

## What it is

The service side of mobile cardiac telemetry: supplying and fitting the wearable monitor, showing the patient how to use it and mark symptoms, and running a monitoring center that watches the transmitted rhythm around the clock for up to about 30 days. Technicians screen the incoming data, escalate urgent findings straight away, and generate daily summaries and event-triggered reports for the ordering physician. The physician's own review and written interpretation sit under a different code.
