# CPT 77373

> Medicare paid $1,377.75 for CPT 77373 in the office (non-facility) setting and $1,377.75 in a facility under the Q4 2016 Physician Fee Schedule, effective October 2016. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2016, when it increased 1.6%.

## What it is

Delivery of one session of stereotactic body radiation therapy - a very high dose of precisely aimed radiation to a tumor outside the brain, given in a small number of sessions instead of weeks of daily treatment. Imaging is done at the time of treatment to confirm the target is exactly where the plan expects before the beam is turned on, and that image guidance is part of this service. One unit covers a single session, and a full SBRT course is typically limited to a handful of them; it may treat more than one lesion in the same session.
