# CPT 76705

> Medicare paid $93.96 for CPT 76705 in the office (non-facility) setting and $93.96 in a facility under the Q2 2018 Physician Fee Schedule, effective April 2018. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2018, when it increased 0.7%.

## What it is

A focused ultrasound of part of the abdomen - a single organ, one quadrant, or a follow-up look at a known finding - with images saved. The contrast with the complete abdominal ultrasound is how much is examined: the complete study works through the full set of upper abdominal organs, while this one deliberately targets the area in question. The gallbladder is far and away the most common single target.
