# CPT 75574

> Medicare paid $397.87 for CPT 75574 in the office (non-facility) setting and $397.87 in a facility under the Q3 2019 Physician Fee Schedule, effective July 2019. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment. This price has been unchanged since Q1 2019, when it decreased 8.0%.

## What it is

A contrast-enhanced CT angiogram of the heart that maps the coronary arteries, any bypass grafts, and the surrounding cardiac structures, with three-dimensional reconstruction of the images as part of the study. Scanning is timed to the heartbeat so the moving vessels come out sharp, and the result is a non-invasive picture of whether the coronary arteries are narrowed. It is the CT alternative to a catheter-based angiogram, without threading a wire into the heart.
