## What it is

Closure of a leaking superficial leg vein by delivering a medical adhesive through a catheter so the vein walls are stuck together and stop carrying blood. Because nothing is heated, the procedure does not require the ring of numbing fluid injected around the vein for laser or radiofrequency treatment, and there is no risk of heat injury to nearby nerves. This entry is the first vein treated in a leg, with a companion code for further veins in the same session.
