# CPT 13132

> Medicare paid $475.37 for CPT 13132 in the office (non-facility) setting and $320.97 in a facility under the Q3 2014 Physician Fee Schedule, effective July 2014. These are the national allowed amounts before the ~2% sequestration cut and before locality (GPCI) adjustment.

## What it is

Advanced closure of a wound in a cosmetically or functionally demanding area, including the forehead, cheeks, chin, mouth, neck, underarms, genitals, hands, and feet. Beyond stitching in layers, it can involve releasing the surrounding skin, reshaping the wound edges, and placing sutures that relieve tension so the scar sits well. This is the mid-length code in the set, with a separate code for shorter wounds and another for length beyond this band.
