## What it is

Anesthesia care for operations inside the abdominal cavity in its lower half, open or laparoscopic, when no more specific anesthesia code fits. Surgeries in this group include bowel resections in the lower abdomen, appendectomy, and gynecologic or pelvic laparoscopy that is not covered by a dedicated code.
